<p><strong>3Com Asterisk </strong> </p>
		<p>The 3Com® Asterisk solution, able to support up to 25 concurrent SIP calls, provides small-to-midsize businesses with an economical compact device for delivering full-featured Voice over IP (VoIP ) services. Using uClinux as the operating system and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) software, it offers a standards-based cost-saving and productivity enhancing, non-proprietary alternative to a PBX or key system, as well as a rich, broad set of VoIP capabilities that can be customized to match user needs.</p>

<p>Easy to deploy and use, the 3Com Asterisk solution integrates with the PSTN network and accommodates a mix of IP and analog phones. It can be used to implement an advanced IP telephony system for what it would cost to install a traditional PBX or key phone system, leveraging its capabilities to reduce procurement, deployment and administration costs.</p>

<p>A broad range of built-in business quality features include voice mail, auto attendant, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and conferencing. In addition, the compact device also provides a range of connectivity options enabled by four Central Office (CO) line ports, four analog device ports, a 10/100 uplink port to connect to the network, 8 MB onboard flash memory and 64 MB of RAM.</p>

<p>The 3Com Asterisk solution demonstrates the power of open source technologies to reduce costs and optimize functionality. It also delivers one more critical ingredient that maximizes the value of this groundbreaking product: expert support. 3Com Global Services and 3Com partners, certified to install and service the appliance, offer a range of services that include on-site and remote maintenance and installation support with flexible coverage and response time options from 24x7 with four hour response time to 8x5 with next day response. </p> 
<p><strong>3Com VCX Connect 100 </strong> </p>

<p>For smaller organizations with up to 100 users, the 3Com® VCX™ Connect 100 platform offers the convenience and economy of a complete IP “PBX-in-a-box” that delivers the productivity-enhancing benefits of a robust and resilient set of communications applications.</p>

<p>The platform includes licenses for 25 phones and powerful, unified IP messaging software that can be integrated with any standards-based email system. With the capability of sending and receiving voicemail messages in emails, workers can be more productive and efficient.</p>

<p>3Com VCX Connect 100</p>

<p>Integrated gateways on the VCX Connect 100 base system include four analog FXO ports and four analog FXS ports with the option of adding more FXO, FXS or T1/E1 modules to expansion slots in the platform.</p>

<p>Designed for easy, economical and dependable use, the system’s flexibility allows many organizations to meet all their connectivity requirements from a single chassis. System resilience can be greatly enhanced with the addition of an optional RAID hard drive and/or optional load-sharing power supply. And communications survivability can be ensured by deploying a secondary VCX Connect 100 server to automatically maintain a synchronized database with the primary system. Should the primary system become unavailable for any reason, the secondary one continues to deliver all phone services.

<p><strong>3Com VCX Connect 200 </strong> </p>
<p>Affordable IP Communications Able to Ensure Service Survivability</p>

<p>Small to medium organizations with up to 250 users benefit from the redundancy options of the 3Com® VCX™ Connect 200 platform. For a very small premium, an enterprise can deploy a secondary hot standby VCX Connect server that maintains a synchronized database with the primary system. Should the primary system become unavailable for any reason, the secondary one takes responsibility for delivering phone services, including both telephony and messaging, to ensure business continuity.</p>

<p>The platform also protects the remote offices of multisite organizations via Voice over IP (VoIP) gateways. In the event of a wide area network (WAN) failure, VCX-compatible gateways enable direct phone-to-gateway dialing.</p>

<p>The platform also supports a variety of SIP-compatible phones, allowing enterprises to select a 3Com or third-party IP device that aligns with their budget and business requirements. And with the addition of the 3Com Convergence Client and IP conferencing module, business communications, productivity and collaboration can be optimized by providing easily accessed conferencing capabilities and softphone connectivity that lets workers use their computers to access voice services that are identical to those available from their desktop phones.</p>
